shame about that ,we have one locally. Im afraid that mastic stays soft and gluey and i tried ,meths,turps,wd40,silicon spray, and automotive thinners all to no avail.  good luck.

I use "metal cleaner" for removing silicone on most surfaces including glass, its a fantastic heavy duty application and removes all oils etc from the surface also. The stuff i use is made by "Molykote" and i borrowed it from my old work ;)

Spray a little on and leave for a couple of seconds and scrape...job done.
I think it is expensive but then again i have never bought any so im not 100% sure on that.

I think it does the same as brake and calliper cleaner (cars) so there may be a cheaper substitute available from a good car parts dealer in your local area. Hope this is of some use if not tfor tomorrow then for next time.

sharp blade is the best way I've found.

Sharp unger 5cm or 10 cm blade whilst keeping the glass wet at all times

sharp scraper , and oil flow,( from titan labs)

keep glass wet , and only scrape in one direction , lift of blade between passes.

Some sealants are water soluble I hope so as it can be painstaking to remove. Aftervscraping residue can be removed with ordinary cornflour starch and I have also heard of using baby talc and wire wool. Schhh its a secret. !  ;)

yup that works but not as good as vim used with a scourer but the powder needs to be able to be on the glass DRY!, good luck with that!  :O)
