Van & Truckmount wanted
« on: December 06, 2008, 01:51:42 pm »
Ive been contract hiring my long wheel base Vivaro for 6 months now @ £199 + vat a month, however because of the "credit crunch" the price is going up to £260 + vat :o

So Im now looking around for a van in the next month or so, rather than pay the extra, just wondered if anyone was thinking of a career change and selling up in the new year.

Im based in Norfolk

If you've not seen it, there's one on ebay in Staffordshire - no pictures unfortunately.

Obviously I don't know what your budget is, but if you were looking for new, or even not too old previously owned, have a word with HydraMaster. They often have contacts and customers who are trading up so have something to sell, but they are also able to offer extremely competitive packages on a new van/TM deal. They are able to source vans at amongst the lowest rates in the country and John Gott was telling me, and I believe him, that he doesn't make a profit on the vans, but uses them as a "vehicle" ;) to sell his machines.  At the HM Dirty Weekend back in August, he was selling a new Ducato van with a new Boxxer 318, including tanks hoses and reels for about £19Kish They also offer different financing packages to suit your own requirements.

Safe and happy cleaning :)
Ken

PS I was very impressed with the Boxxer 318. Much better performance than their previous Spitfire 3.2  Some were saying that it's so close to the more expensive Boxxer 421 that that machine is almost redundant :'(

Cheers for response guys, they are upping the price accordingly to the letter because of the credit crunch and the residual value of the van at the end of the term.
Their deal was £199 + vat a month then every 6 months you get a new one which suited my business but the extra puts it to £300 all in a month which is i think is too much so just thought it might be a good idea to go down the route of buying a van with a possible upgrade to truckmount machine.

Have seen that one on ebay, but £16,500 is too much i think, i can get a 08 plate vivaro for 9k plus vat so that makes it a expensive deal IMO.

Will give Hydramaster call next week Ken and also Altec who are close to me

Well the firm is going to loose customers then if the price is going up ???

Am sure some dealers that have bought there van stock are going to reduce the price in the new year or they just register the vehicle and sell it as low mileage.

The reason am saying this is the car dealer near me has not sold any vehicles in two weeks :o

The ebay one is a buy it now or best offer listing so £16500 is a very notional figure.
