Two Women and and a Bloke
« on: March 08, 2005, 09:30:40 pm »
Last week there was a poorly described Sebo Duo for sale on Ebay.

Ithink it went for £55

Did anyone buy it.

I did send a message who were called I think Two Women and a bloke asking if they were carpet cleaners as it was such a poor description.

I did put in a small bid as I would have had to travel to Huddersfield to get it.

I am now wondering what I would have got as I had a message from Ebay warning me about Two Women and a Bloke, and it could have been away of publisising other services.

Just thought I would mention it as my son and I have ventured into Ebay three times and have ended up with dodgy happenings

I also got a message from ebay regarding this item.
It appeared strange to me as they said it was a vac but when i asked further they described it as a scrubber.
Probably did right staying clear!
Cheers

Ah yes item 3874384663.

I too had a look, but thought better of it.

As of yet there has been no feedback left from either party about said item.

Paul you say you received a message from e-bay, was this after the auction finished? Its un-heard of for ebay to warn people about users, normally ebay just cancel there account if there is dodgy dealing going on.
If you have had problems you may not relise but there are plenty of ways to get your money back-

1. PayPal Buyer Protection - When you pay for a qualified listing with PayPal, this programme provides coverage up to £500 at no additional cost. To see if an item is covered, look for the  picture in the "seller information" section on the listing and confirm the item's eligibility.

2. eBay Standard Purchase Protection Programme - Most other items are covered up to £120 (minus a £15 processing fee) under the Standard Purchase Protection Programme.

Throwing the book at em -
www.courtservice.gov.uk/you_courts/civil/index.htm

Items even from private sellers must be 'as described'

It does work, Ive had two poeple banned from ebay (nasty me! hehe).

MarkR the email from Ebay arrived after auction.

Interesting about Payment Protection Scheme because for some reason my son payed £50 in total for an item by BACS why he did which he did not receive.
For some reason he did not use Paypal

Person appears to have banned themselves from Ebay.

He is still trying to resolve situation but I dont think he has a chance

Regards

Ian

I found some of the best bargains on Ebay are from people who wrongly describe their goods, or are first time sellers.

they often put things on the wrong section or have no idea of its value. I'm at present bidding for something that wrongly listed and if I get it it'll be a bargain ;)

I once bought a Dry Fusion machine fro £20 :o :o pity the police came and took it away because it was stolen

Have you used this Mike, it searches for misspelt words. Loads of bargains from people who can't spell.  ;D

I'm sure you all won't be surprised that 2 women 1 bloke is no other than "the carpet cleaner" otherwise known as Jason B, Jason C, Philip and various other names.Funny how he keeps cropping up for all the wrong reasons!

I infact purchased said Sebo, from a very nice chap, exactly as described.

Apparently had some fraudsters bidding on item, thus the warning!

Was from a company called The carpet cleaner (NCCA Member), but nothing seemed dodgy about them as intimated above. Very professional setup, swanky offices, said they have 4 vans on the road.

Any how machine works fine, never been used by the look of it......result.

daniel,
good result for you,but you can understand why i and others were suspicious of this as it was in-correctly described and when i asked a question to clarify it they responded with a more confusing answer.
But a good result for you you probably got a bargain because of this.
