I bought a hybrid pole from x line, base sections fiber glass and has a streamline sticker on it, other sections are carbon fiber, sounds like its the same one (mines adapted to 40 ft so has two gf base sections).
I think its a very good pole, used it about 3 months now daily and very happy with it . ( have a superlight brush)
Heavier than a modular yes, but too heavy ? I started with a 39 ft universal fiberglass  :o so I'd say NO  ;)

Anyone else sell them? I'd like a look on a website if i could. I don't really need one but a cleaner near me is packing up and selling all his wfp kit - poles, 4040 ro, 400l caged tank etc. He said he paid less than £500 for a full carbon pole 44' - just sounded cheap for carbon?

i Have the xtel 60ft, which has a streamline sticker on it, so streamline is not the make but just the retailer

It will be either a 45ft universal or an X-tel with a Streamline sticker on it. Varitech wholesale them (as has been said), and there must be 20 outlets that retails them.

If it is the older Universal then run a mile!!! If it is the X-tel then it would usually cost you about £600 + VAT for the bare pole. Pure-Freedom were offloading them a year or so ago for £524.05 (bare pole equivalent price).

I think that you will find ftp that the Xtel poles have been out for eighteen months now. So ask him if it has 3cm wide top clamps (Xtel) or thinner side mounted clamps (Universal).

Streamline carbon pole is as heavy as the original glass fibre poles. I would rather lose the rigidity of a universal carbon pole and settle for a hybrid (glass and carbon) pole than use one of them because they are heavier and put more of a strain on your joints.

As i said i don't particularly want it but if he gets desperate it could be ok for spiking gutters if it went really cheap.
