Gutter Cleaning
« on: November 28, 2008, 11:07:21 am »
This maybe a dumb questions.

Whats the fastest way to wipe the outside of the gutters..?

I dont mean inside where the water catches. Its the outside..espcially white guttering.

Is the like a special tool to help reach further instead of up the ladder, down the ladder move it a buit back up the ladder wipe the gutter.

If there is a pole or something can you let me know.

All advice greatly recieved

Cheers

I have WFP but have not used it for wiping the gutters... erm isnt there alot of mess with the water and does the brush get behind, the gutter that is closest to the roof.

Do you require a special type brush or is that a silly one as well

Thanks

I use a pole etc for gutters, I find Alexs superlight brush to have slightly longer bristles than most, these get up ehind the gutters as far as you need.

Does a great job and REMARKABLY quick.

Did a gutter clean last week with the superlite brush. The bristles are longer and they splay all over the place when you want them to.
Very good brush for this type of clean.

I've posted these pics before. I use a lobby brush on the end of a Harris pole. It's got really long bristles and gets into all the nooks and crannies . The technique is:

1 - soak the gutter and fascia etc with pure water using your wfp.

2 - give it a good brushing with the lobby brush (on a different pole)

3 - rinse off using your wfp

There are alternative methods, but this one works best for me.

Here are a few pics:

The brush (Today I use it without the jet. Just the brush on a pole. It's faster.)

A large porch being cleaned with the brush.

does the lobby brush have a normal screw thread, same as normal brush, and if so, does this mean it can be attached straight to an adapter or converted harris pole with brush thread inserted.

thanks
