I use the flocked on PVC as it`s better for doing the frames ie it`s a wetter bristled brush the mono is no good for this as it will leave brush lines on the sills etc,on leads it`s also better as it glides over the ridges on the lead easier with no noise or bumping.To sum up i would use the mono on maintanance cleans and the flocked on the dirtier stuff although you`ll probobly find you`ll like it on most.

I do have a lot of leaded and starting to get a lot of georgians and older wooden sash, so perhaps the flocked would be better by being softer.. less flaking paint? less jumps and bumps on the lead?

Its only for residential not hi commercial so rinse off the window if what i do anyway.

I think i'll take the plunge with the flocked..

i got a superlite dual trim a month back and feeling the bristles, i didn't think it's scrubbing power would be as good as a vikan rectangular but it is a dream to use. Though very soft, the brush is very good at getting in the corners.
I've only used vikans, bentley and an old ionics brush before, but this is the best brush i have used so far.

ive been using the d/t s/l mono brush for a while now, and it is the best brush i have tried, and ive tried a hell of a lot, but have been using the d/t s/l flocked this week, with hot water and i love it. its the mutts.......imo.

Used the Gardiners SuperLight Flocked brush finally today on my new zensor pole.

Damn the brush is good! It really pulls the dirt off, as this was a first clean. Not only that you can tell when its clean as it skids along the windows rather than feeling sticky when they are dirty. You really do notice the difference from a dirty window to a clean window.

Only problem is that it holds spider webs and other type of debris in the bristles - so more need to clean it out after each clean.

This is where the mono-filament comes into its own as it does not hold on to the dirt as much.

i already use the supalite dt mk 1 , cannot fault it , i rinse brush on , with a high flow rate, does a superb job ,

am considering getting the flocked version for first cleans , and as i use the twice round method, i would use flocked first, and give frames ( esp top frame a good scrub,and rinse , then go back and  quickly redo glass only, using mono. version.

I had need to use the Mk1 single trim S/L brush yesterday, was surprised how soft it was, I didnt remember it as being that way; was glad to get back to the dual trim, poetry in motion

This is my experience. I use my DT Superlight (Mk2) on every single window that I come across, including the filthiest first cleans you can imagine.

Not a single problem. And the best thing is? This brush keeps itself so clean, that even after doing a dirty first clean, it's clean after doing one or two maintenance clean windows.

i still think the ionics old style brush has better scrubbing power but only slighlty,the superlite cuts into the corners better

i have a nearly new tucker brush now that sits in the van unused

Why dont you think you can rinse on with the S/L on sash windows? Interested to know, not trying to critiscise.
