Spinning pole

The top section on my c/f facelift pole keeps spinning round i have adjusted the clamp as much as i can but it still spins dont know if its the clamp thats worn or the pole section can anyone suggest any way i can fix this

rub it down and spray a few coats of lecker on it ..

THE pole section will be worn also the clamp a little bit, Get a new clamp and that will stop it for a little while. ;)

 ;) My pole is worn right on the top edge (if that makes sense!) I just started clamping a little lower, it stopped the spinning  ;)

My Facelift pole has started doing exactly the same thing. I noticed that the clamp slot was completely closed up, so tightening the clamp bolt was making no difference. What Ive done to make it last a bit longer is: Take the end section right out of the 2nd section. Take the bolt out of the clamp of the 2nd section. Get a rough file and file the clamp slot. You can keep putting the end section back in and trying it. When you do this look and see where the faces are touching so you know where to file. I only did mine this weekend but it is loads better.

i have done as you said about a month ago only i used the thickness of a grinder blade to make the gap bigger it worked just dont know how strong the clamps going to be now as it is only plastic and theres only so much it can be tightned
someone one on here said about sliding plastic from a coke bottle behind the clamp then gluing it to the clamp
