We are considering changing leafleting companies as we are having a few problems with our companies, however I am a little worried about getting ripped off by 'cowboys'

We currently pay £35 per 1000 for the cards to get delivered with 1-3 other leaflets. (reasonable price but not good service)

We have approched 2 companies which offer similar prices, however one of them is only charging £35 for the card to be delivered solo... I can't see how they can do this. In our area we work on 6-7 hours to deliver 1000. so £35/7 hours = £5.00 per hour, now this is before the company has even taken a cut and minimim wage is £5.73... is this a scam? Do you think they just dump the leaflets or am i missing something really obvious here?




Is anyone using a delivery company that they would reccommend?
Or doe anyone have any general advice about this?

my friend is the managing director of a leaflet distribution company, he uses distributors via royal mail , newspapers and other sources. would you like his amail address?  they are a great firm?

oh yeah they deliver throughout the uk for any size business. they evan can do the printing too.

The royal mail charges that sort of money and you choose your postcodes.

There is one in rochdale lancs that charges 25 plus vat and thats with three others with yours so its not solo.

We have used Royal Mail for about 2 years now.  Not the cheapest (although have a special price for first time customers), but very reliable and you choose the postcode sector (first part of code plus first digit of second part).  We tend to target large houses - these are far apart with long driveways. I was always worried that staff of private leafletting companies would not always bother to go to these but the postman always would.
