Everyone seems to believe that its all down to the machine!

In reality it is the perfect blend of experience/training, chemicals used AND equipment that provides the best results. I have produced work far superior to high powered machines simply by using the best of the above to produce the right results.

I couldnt agree more, Im still using the same machine I started up with around 3 years ago and if you look at some if my posts from around that time I had issues with gettting white/ cream carpets clean. Using the same machine and chems I can now get the worst white carpets clean and you cant buy the experience Ive gained in those 3 years by changing machines etc.  By the way, I use a Ninja which until I ever decide on a truckmount I will continue to use.

Hi Guys

I had loads of pipe bursts most by the valve but a couple along the pipe and even the one in the machine.

Extracta's answer was their stock one of 'that has never happened before'.

Alltec supply 3000 psi pipe which I have had one burst in the protective bit by the valve which caused little problem.

For what Extracta charge I was surprised they did not supply a better quality pipe but in the end I went elsewhere.

Cheers

Doug

I'll keep Alltec in mind.... Funnily enough there was a kink in my pipe today and I was a bit concerned.... I'll keep an eye on that area I think. How old were they when your pipes went? They must perish with all that hot solution running though them surely, but I'd want a good few hundred hours out of them... At least

I try and change the end conectors or cut the solution pipe every few months just to try and stop the burst :)

Trouble is the pipe gets shorter and shorter ;D

Thank you Susan, I am planning on trying different products but I really need to invest in more courses and keep reading through the archives in order to apreciate what chemical (or solution if I'm talking to a customer) is best for each stain, material etc.... Obviously there's more to carpet cleaning than meets the eye and I appreciate every single snippet of advice I get from you good people out there!

I might get sick of trying different products out on the carpet.... But the Mrs thinks it's great...

Cheers, Colin....
