Does anyone use a parafin heater in the back of their van for overnight frost protection?

I used a greenhouse heater last year but it made the van stink so i wont be doing that again if its that cold at night i will just take things out of the van
I know this all takes time but rather that than a smelly van

I have a small greenhouse heater but it does smell and I am always afraid it will set the van on fire even though I know thats illogical.
This year I intend to bring as much as I can into the garage and put the heater out there. My garage was rebuilt this year and is totally draftproof.

a cheap way to keep things protected is buy an electric blanket, they are cheap to run and good ones can be left on, i  put mine on a timer though 15 mins on 15 mins off. only had to use it once  so far
bad weather always looks worse through dirty windows
