Those of you who clubbed together for the yell.com deal, has it worked and what sort of response are you getting.

They ring me almost every week offering deals but I always say no but wondered how you are all getting on.

thanks
Mark

The Yellow Pages rep comes visiting me tomorrow.

Been with them the last few years.

Must admit, YP getting quieter, my web site getting more responses.

What shall I say to him (be polite please)  :)

For what we paid it is definately worth it, infact I think it's about £400 list price so yes it is definately worth it.

It has certainly paid for itself and I'm sure it's responsible for jobs but can't pin it down to yell. I often get Oh we got you off the web, but when you delve they can't say whether it was yell, a link or google.

Most internet jobs from google searches.

Save your pennies for Youtube PPC ;)

I thought a sponsered listing was £2,000 I think that was to be at postion 1 or 2,

But some mention paying 200 to 400 hundred ???

Is there different packages or something?

To be always listed at no 2 on Yell.com would cost me £200 per month  -  just been told that this afternoon.
No 1 has already been taken by local Chemdry - didnt ask how much.!

Dave

Am sure its not that much to go on the sponsered and trouble is your competitor can click your link and run down your credit ::)

Hi Clinton

The clicks you are talking about are on Google.

Sponsored listing on yell 1st position was £3300 + vat last time I looked with 2nd being about £2k.

For this type of business they are not worth it (except on a very very few occasions)

Standard entries with weblinks are £400 + vat and without (don't bother) £200

If you want any more detailed info just email me.

Mark, Yell works well if you work it well. Geographics do play a big part though. I get 70% of my new bus from it and with this thing we do with us all clubbing in it's only cost me £550 this year (I cover 16 towns with weblinks). In August I did £1950 from it.

A guy from the site did it for me  :)

Trouble is i caint get into my mail as i did not get my passwords and caint get hold of the guy who did it for me.

I did mail mark but he did not get back to me.

Going to get one up for stockport in the new year as am geting calls from all over cheshire and it would not be worth me going that far to one job.

Sounds like your doing good from your sites pete :)

Yell.com must be good for carpet cleaners because I'm on my second year with yell.com in the hope that it will at least bring me in one job for window cleaning as so far I've had nought.
Its costing me £40 a month so far from expensive but I will not relist next year
