got a call today from one of these companies today,has anyone done work for such companies and if so what are the pro's and cons?

Have done in the past ! always promise loads of work,worked for 1 large company in Cambridge who put out 10 thousand flyers a month,which also had my contact details on.Prob had about 10 jobs from them in 3 years !

if you mean a domestic cleaning company approached you to clean a carpet for one of their customers, treat it as normal.
Quote the rate you would if it were your customer. If they wnt to add a % then thats theirs.
If they become regular offering you jobs you could perhaps discount, as you would (or not) a regular customer of your own.

You will have to do the job i guess as a normall one if i were you as they will ask for a cheap job so they can add ther bit on.

she's asked me to clean all her jobs that need carpet cleaning, ive sent her a survey form to fill in then she emails it to me and i give her a price, she then gives her quote to the client, guess she'll add a bit on for my cleaning plus her own price for the domestic cleaning and if she gets it, then ive got a job. think thats how its going to work. not spoke in detail but she's got a quote tomorrow so i'll find out. funny how she's got one quote tomorrow and ive got 5. still, if she can get me work without me advertising then i guess its all good.
