By looking at these 3 pictures, what do you think is going on?

You've obviously brainwashed a cow into thinking it's a badger?

looks like you have put a piece of leather in a plastic bag with a substance that has produced a reation.

Imbibing, saturation, or maybe replacing / replentishing the oils added during the currying process, which gives leather its suppleness, stretchability and stops it drying out, etc.
As usual, just a guess, based on my limited knowledge

how big are the bags that you put the full suite in?
obviously you are using your usual get-straight-to-the-point attitude to make some sort of point :
perhaps that leather will absorb you fatty liquor, but putting a swatch of leather in a bag and totally saturating it with your product is totally irrelevant unless you are suggesting taking the suite apart, rolling up the leather and putting it in a big plastic bag.

The above pictures illustrate the Principle of Fatliquoring.
The below shows the practice:
#1: Spray fatliquor
#2: Wrap it up!
#3: Full view!
#4: See any coarse creases or wrinkles?
