Oh My Word!
« on: November 15, 2008, 09:22:38 pm »
I'd like to apologise for starting a bit of a row off. It began when i posted a very large weekly earnings target and was supposed to show that my views had changed through my experience.Included in the same post was the fact that I would quickly modify it so that it wasn't yet another recruiting sergeant for newbies looking for easy street.

Someone very quickly copied and pasted it and began challenging me.This always happens when people are seen or appear to bragg about earnings. Some banter followed and when it got a bit too serious I went too bed. I don't come on here to argue (well I do but only in a pleasant way), and I know that others find it tiresome to read. For starting and being the cause of this I apologise.

I looked at the thread just and it got very bad before it was quite rightly locked. None of us come on here for nastiness and  if I have helped create this I apologise.

Apology accepted!

I'm just waiting for one from Ronnie Patton for calling my Missis a whore, then my nose will be put back into place!

Oh, and an apology for calling me an ass-licker and a bully too.

It's tough keeping up with all the insults.

totally agree i think you didnt say anything wrong, you just said what you target yourself to achieve, over reaction by whoever started the arguement towards you.

I remember saying something about people driving round in bangers, well mines a nine year old fiat bravo. And also know  that because i am interested in business i do tend be dogmatic about my ideas.

Very often it turns out i am wrong about things. This forum has put me straight on a few things.

I got elected to a committee once and thought I knew everything. In fact I ended up learning a lot and it was a very dynamic committee that punched well above it's weight. Since then I value team work- given that i'm always sounding off about how clever I am- I know that good ideas can come from anywhere and they mostly come from someone else.

What are you talking about?  You called my Missis a whore, not a 'sleeper'?

Remember, good communication is the key to good business; I'm sure Discount said that.

For a forum that has offered so much advice I am shocked at the immaturity displayed.

Window cleaning is a job, not an attitude.

I agree wholeheartedly.  I spend 17 years serving my country and I get called an ass-kisser and a bully for getting promoted and doing my duty; then my Missis gets called a whore; all from the same person, and this same person gloats because he went to a military prison because he assaulted some other guy he reckons was like me.

Some people need to grow up!

Ronnie

I read all the posts in that thread - and a few people got far too excited!

But you did bring Tosh's wife into it (and use the term sleeper * the real word is being altered by the moderater), and I think you should apologise for that at least.

As for the rest (to quote several football managers) it could be called "handbags at dawn".

Apologise and be better thought of for it.

you both need to chill out and learn the quality of humbleness....  ::) however if there is aneed to apologise for something said , then the apology should be made and then accepted ::)

* the real word is being altered by the moderater

I love this, moderators altering words whilst allowing this topic to continue. Either lock it or delete, you're quick enough to do it when I mention another cleaning forum.

Look, we all have our little arguments on this site, but I think it was bang out of order for Ronnie to call my Missis a hoar (which I interpreted as 'whore'), but I don't know why he brought her into the discussion in the first place.

I haven't mentioned his family, so why should he mention mine?

If Ronnie apologises and says sorry, I'll accept it like a man!
