Leaflet Design
« on: November 12, 2008, 10:12:47 pm »
Hi,

Am wanting to get some new leaflets, but the leaflet printers on the internet, want the design doing and sending to them...

And require all sorts of technical jargon, pdf, pixels and things like that.

Does anyone have a leaflet design i could look at and take ideas from.. via email if need be....

or just a bit of advice...as i know its a little private and a bit much asking for a leaflet etc

but it seems they all want me to design it...

is that what you guys do ?

Cheers. gazasp8@aol.com

unless you know what your doing you will find it difficult to supply to proper spec.

a 300dpi 4 colour jpg will do but unless you know how to do it its pointless trying to explain.

you can pay about £70 for a decent flyer design

Vista print are reasonable.

All you need to do is upload a few pics on a flyer / brochure, they even do post cards or over sized post cards. You can design it all yourslef as you can move the design around to suit your requirements.

they do the layout templates. Pay a little extra and they remove thre logo from the back of the business cards.

Best Value on the net...

hope it helps

Do not use Print Carrier I was ripped off to the tune of £180.

Some dim wit on hear recommended them.

They only have an english speaking answering service in this country but your leaflets are
printed in Germany, So if anything goes wrong your stuffed legally.

And after scouring the net I found they have a long history of ripping there clients off.

STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE.

Well youv'e been the lucky one. The net is riddled with complaints about these idiots, if i showed you what they sent me all 15000 of them you might have second thoughts in the future.

Nope the design was perfect and the pdf format was perfect also.

I asked another printer to run the same pdf file through there machine and it came out perfect also.

What print carrier failed to do was change there machine settings to print full colour there machine had been set to negative on a previous run. As a result they sent me 15000 negative flyers.

When I complained they said it was my fault because I sent the wrong format. But how could I have because I had one printed at another printers and it came out perfect, and because there head office is based in Germany you dont have a leg to stand on.

In photographic terms a Negative Print, like looking at a 35mm photograph negative.

Thats what I and the other printer dont understand. I tried to call them, email them, send snail mail but all I got was No Reply. I certainly wont be recommending them to anybody, they are a bunch of muppets.
