Hi all,new to the forum.I wanted to ask how many of you use an internal jet on your upholstery tool.I have asked this before on cleantalk.I am running a prochem powermax and recently bought a tool with a internal jet thinking it would make for a much easier job.In comparison to my external jet very little solution comes out of the internal tool.i know this is due to the vacuum pulling it away,but how much should be reaching the fabric.And ideally regardless of what tool is used how much solution(water,rinse agent)should reach the fabric and how far into the fabric should it go.

I would have thought the less moisture getting into the fabric the better, providing of course you are getting the desired results, maybe you should have looked at the cfr or dri master before your purchase.

Presuming your new internal jet tool is set up and working normally, we need to know what tool you were using before, along with what size jet and how worn it was.  Was it a general purpose hand tool used for stairs too or was it a purpose designed, dedicated upholstery tool?

 usually most dirt is sat on the surface of the fabric so just rinsing the top will leave it clean without having to penetrate all the way through the fabric.

the solution need to remain in contact with the dirt until it dissolves and emulsifies it leaving it in a liquid state able to be vacuumed off the fabric, the prespray will do most off this work, but not all of if ( otherwise a cloth would be able to remove the dirt without any rinse)

your tool is'nt allowing the solution to sit on the fabric long enough for for this too take place, without holding it in the same position for a length of time which will cause you to empty your tank very quick

internal jets are not that good, when used with low pressure portables the solution does'nt have the power to fight the vacuum.

tahts what i was thinking mike my machine is just not powerful enough.What toll would be most compatible with my machine should i just stick with prochems or would cfr or drimaster work with it?

Ken the tool i was using before was just a basic clear plastic detailing tool from prochem.

you need an 'enclosed' jet not 'internal'  

an enclosed jet  will stop some of the over spray associated with normal upholstery tools, but will be more effective than the 'internal'

i'm making the assumption you are working to a budget or I'd say buy a cfr

I think you have got the plastic clear hand tool from prochem i guess

Its ok for stairs but found it did overwet the upholstery..

yes i got the plastic tool from prochem instead of their steel upholstery tool thinking it would do the same job,false economy obviously!!Then 2 weeks ago i bought an internal jet tool from world of clean.So basically from one extreme to another
