Hi there I have had seal skin gloves. They are nice and keep your hands dry but the outer skin absorbes all the water so my hands never felt that worm. I have just got my Youngtown gloves first impression is they will hard wearing. They have a fleese lining so they feel nice while working. I think though they say they are waterproof towards the end of the day they get slightly damp think it might be the fleece slightly obsorbing the the moisture. I only do WFP. I dont thing they would be good for trad work they are a bit restrictive but good for pole work

I reckon Sealskins are the best on the market,... but there's still room for improvement. They do keep your hands dry for a few hours, but not all day,... and using them every day you'd wear them out very quick.

Luckily in this climate you prob only need them for 20 odd working days the entire year,...

I'd still get 2 pairs, 1 for mornings and a fresh pair for after lunch. Throw both pairs on the radiator to dry when you get home at night.

Last year I had the Sealskin "waterproof" gloves, which disintegrated after a few months,  as opposed to the "winter gloves."

They are both the same price but the "winter" ones seem much better.

I was using the sealskins gloves up until a couple weeks ago when we stumbled across a glove called winter touch which is manufactured under license for the royal horticultural society for gardeners,the glove has a thinsulate thermal lining to keep your hands warm and a ski-dri waterproof lining and a leather outer lining,we paid £19.95 for the gloves and they are fantastic gloves in my opinion.The only place we could get them was at Nottcutts garden centres.

 Actually they were too warm this week, but being 50yrs old now,   best to wrap up nice and warm.

I  could do with an intermediate glove I suppose.

just ordered a pair of ''winter touch gloves'' you can get them online from several places got mine at www.worm.co.uk
they look good and i must admit seal skinz do where quick and dont keep your hands warm when they are wet

sealskinz stay tight across wrist ,the winter worm are not tight,so if water comes dwn wrist will enter into glove making insides wet,if you get seaskinz make sure you get a tight fit.

Well I have been using some that I bought the wife last year she never wore then hardly so I have had them this year and its been 3 weeks and already they have a hole in the right thumb and 2 holes in the thumb & forefinger on the left hand

3 weeks seriously they need to last longer than this imo they are crap

I'm not sure which ones I have they are whatever Soap National had in stock, I do remember him telling us that you should not force dry them like on radiators they should be dried naturaly
