There probably is a certain leeway, as in people using barbecues in their back garden etc. I wasn't trying to be a nelly know all, just warning people who might not know. I wouldn't for example advise you to put any boiler info on your diy site, particulalry not how to disable or overide  internal safety devices.Info only Disclaimer or not.

I had an interesting conversation with a fire officer the other day abou the L5,he told me that unless i got an engineer to look at what i`ve done i would be mad.He said you MUST make sure that you proper hoses and proper fittings from the L5 heater itself,he did say that it was a good idea but having it checked out is a must, after the chat he gave me a free fire extiguisher lol. ;D ;D he also said that the best place to by everything for it from is B.O.C.,they will also sell you the gas.

you would have to be an absolute idiot, to not get this right, its not different from attaching a hose to a pump, if the water doesn't leak out then your ok, if the fittings are air tight then you are ok

oh and i got everything from boc too

I'd always recommend having a professional fit the heater for you. Lets face it, its 1 Hose with a connection each end,.. how much is it going to cost??!

where the red / yellow/ green go in to the connector and connect to red yellow you disconnect and connect the new sensor to the red yellow

what does this do?
