How mant litres / gallons do you get through per day
« on: November 01, 2008, 10:59:17 am »
Hi to all you WFP system users,

How many litres per day do you get through, I am going to order a trolley systems and have decided to get an RO unit to fit in my garage. I have noticed they vary in the amount they produce.

How long can you store the purified water for?

Pump 60 psi or 100psi what do you recomend? Are you able to reach higher if you use a 100psi pump.

Also what is the average cost of running an RO unit... ie chemicals you need to buy /  filters. Just in general as I know it will vary as every one has a different work load.

thanks for your help in advance.

Dave

Between 250L and 350L usually. Lots of domestic, mind.

I used to use about 50L more when I had a soft pencil jet brush whereas now I have a harder fan jet brush.

You can store pretty much indefinitely.

I used to use a 210L butt but recently got a 600L IBC. Saves time filling.

My tank is under the car port so yes - but that's why I went 600L not 1000L - it's narrower. The outlet is 3" so I fill up 400L in 4 minutes.

60-100L full time. Minimalist use of water options.

If you look at a 300L/day it will actually give you approx 200- not whatr it says it produces for various reasons. You can also leave them running 24/7 to catch up if your busy.

Hi pureeasy,

Well the reason is to do with height!

I have a Mitsubishi double cab L200 truck. With a snugtop so I lack the height I would require for you trolly.

Thats why I have to go for a different type.

And a lower wheelbarrow design would be much easier to maneuver in and out of my truck

With regards to make in RO unit,

This is not definate yet, but will either be Merlin or Ro-man. One that will be in the Garage.

I will probably purchase from a local company down the road from me as if I have any issue they will rectify it....as I have been a long custy now I know them well.

We use between 800 and 1200 litres for a three man team working 7.30 to 4.30
With about an hour for lunch and a few hours traveling time.
