i've been out collecting, trouble is getting people to answer the door, they think it's bloody trick or treaters >:(,

ido the cheque thing as well but dont leave sae, they post at there cost.

i have gone back to collecting on quite a few though, quicker turn around, and with these difficult times is is wise to keep ontop of things instead of waiting for cheque for multiple cleans to arrive.

I dont mind collecting but i dont go very often as i have trained my custys so that they either send me a cheque or let it build up until they see me. I wouldnt have bothered tonight as it is halloween. I went monday and in just over an hour collected £280 in cash and there is supposed to be a credit crunch.

We never have any trouble with trick or treaters knocking on our door. I've got an old pair of wellies that I painted silver and every year I leave them by the front door.

The little bu66ers won't knock if they think Gary Glitter lives there.

i've been on the second clean to one of my costumers and she didn't bothered to pay me.i called her and said she is out till 6th of november, but before that allways find a way not to pay me like come next week i don't have cash now, and so.just tring to get may money back as i'll not going back to clean her windows anymore.i'm allways on time with the cleaning so i expect to be paid in time.i don't need this kind of customers they are waste of time and money as i've been a about 3 times to her place to ask for my money.just trying to find a solution to recover my money.not much but still...

Don't do collecting, seems a bit desperate to me,just leave a slip with online bank details/home address for cheques etc.
Far better things to be doing in the evening than driving about looking for money ;D.........SOD THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Me personally is because of the time and petrol wasted driving about and loss of time with your family,I personally don't like to be disturbed when eating my dinner etc.I never have to wait more than two days for my payment unless they are on holidays and even then they say that they are very sorry for late payment but can understand that, mickey takers I have no time for,my customers always pay like I say within a few days, surely you can wait that long! ;D.....each and everyone to their own but I would rather be with my family in the evening than wait a few days for payment :P

it is not desperate at all, I used to do it long time ago, I found it was wasting my time, I worked to many hours as it was , thewn had to drive over 20 miles to collect, and a lot would not be in, all now ost payment or pay online, less hassle, less time wasted.

I know loads of guys round my way that still collect I think they are mad but we all work different, so I say each to there own.

I work in a way that does not cost me time and money, others will work because they need the money in quick  (its not wrong , just costs them more)
