This patented product comes with 2 solutions that you have to mix 50/50 into a third empty bottle. You then spray onto the stain, leave to dry and then extract off. I have used it twice so far with exellent results - once on coffee and once on limeade. You have to protect your hands though because it literally takes your skin off.
How many others out there use this product and what do you think.

I don't believe its patented as Hydramaster do the same product called knockout, in larger bottles.

I have used both with only limited success. I have yet too find a product that totally removes old coffee stains, when on a natural wool carpet.

Prochems coffee stain remover has been an excellent product for me, no mixing of products, spray n go really.

Even got coffee stains out of a wool carpet in a residential home once.

Re your comments about another supplier distributing possibly the same product, and so you dont believe its patented.
Many distributers simply (under license) rebottle products manufactured elsewhere, and re label them under their own name.
Hence three different coffee stain removers from three different distrubuters may well in fact be the same product.

I have had some good results with this product but my customers do complain about the smell from it

This product was used because the Prochem Coffee Stain Remover didn't get the desired results. True it does have bit of a smell and I would always advise the customer not to touch it until I have returned and extracted.
I would be interested to try the Hydramaster product to compare but certainly have been impressed with the results from it so far.

Steve do you always return and hwe the stain as i have been told only to let the customer vaccume after the carpet is dry

ive had good results from Extracta's "Stainaway" on various customer stains.
i tested a whole batch of different stains like ink , red wine, coffee, tea, curry. blackcurrent juice on an 80/20 offcut in beige that i had and it got the lot out with no bleaching. Dont know if this stuff is similar to the Chemspec stuff as ive not used any others yet.

Although the instructions say it can be vacuumed when dry, I prefer to extract (just with cold water in my spotting machine). This is because the product does burn like hell if it makes contact with your skin whilst wet and because Chemspec don't tell you what's in this product (patented) I extract for my own peace of mind.

i use a product called tannox. this also has a metally smell. it is very effective although nothing i know of will remove old coffee stains on a natural fibre 100%. this is a no mix product and is sprayed on left and extracted. rust remover can be quite effective on old wine/dog poo stains. oxibrite is also effective on light colours. does anyone else have any good products?
