CRB checks
« on: October 28, 2008, 03:19:25 pm »
Hi folks.  trying to get a CRB scheck from the old bill as we are trying to get a contract with the local social services.

Been to the cop shop and they gave me a number to ring.  Phoned that and was told that because we are self employed we need a compant to do the check ON us.  We cant get the check done for ourselves.  They recomended an employment company.  Tried that and the lady thought I was mad and couldnt help.

Anyone know how to go about this.  We need to get it done asap aswe have been asked to quote for some work but we need the check to go ahead with it.

Thanks in advance for all info and advice received.

You can't get a CRB check done on yourself - I looked into it for my bouncy castle side, you can get them done if somebody works for you

Thanks very much Chris.

I will have a look at the website.

The oven cleanser,  did the school ask you to have it done?  what sort of time-scale are we talking about.

cheers

If you have a bit of free time then go along to your local cadet unit, sign up as an adult instructor, get an enhanced CRB ( best you can get) for free. you can always leave the cadet corps once it arrives.
