I have seen on a couple of threads that advice on heat transfer was helped by using brown paper.
I have used this method a few times to take out red stains but not using brown paper.
Can anybody expand on the brown paper bit.

I understand the brown paper is used to remove candle wax/grease mark.........never tried it myself.
Have used heat tranfer with terry towels and Red RX on Tizer stain my kids made on mother in laws hall carpet.........it worked  :

A hot iron (but not too hot) and brown paper works great on wax.  It's an old house wives remedy (I think my old Mum taught me it years ago) that really works well.  Place the paper, shiny side up, over the wax and place a warm iron on top, gradually increase the heat until it start to melt the wax and it absorbs into the paper.  Be carefull on synthetic fibres especially polprop.  Kitchen tissue also works.
