Jan & Feb
« on: October 26, 2008, 11:02:17 am »
with the talk about Xmas coming up I think its more important to start thinking about Jan & Feb

So...... prime every customers for cleaning at this time, tell them the truth, things tend to slow down a bit in Jan & Feb so you offer a number of special offers at this time, Tailor each special offer to them, if they have a leather suite tell them you do a special deal on leather cleaning, if you  only clean the downstairs tell you you are doing 3 bedrooms for the price of 2.

Tell them you'll  give them a ring in Jan & Feb to see if there is anything they need doing ( I say tell them not ask them )

if you wait until Jan, look at your diary and see its empty, it because you didn't do the ground work now ;) ;)

Mike it looks like I preaching a little bit, but every year in Jan & Feb we get people asking how to get work in the slow period and really we should plan for it now.

I've been stockpiling leaflets (even some special 'January discount'  leaflets from  this year  ) so I don't have the expense of buying them in Jan & Feb

might be worth sending out sales letters to hotels and restaurant or other places  who do Xmas parties trying to get work in Jan when its all finished

Sometimes it's worth advertising in the quiet times when you may not get the best results per % but it will keep you in work (providing you gat a decent return) you will be surprised that when you get naturally busier that some of these leaflets etc will call you in the busier periods, you nevere really lose out with marketing.

I find Jan & Feb quite relaxing, is it just me?
