Question for oven cleaning companies.What do you do with your dirty waste water from dip tank after each job ?
As it is illegal to dispose waste water down street drains.I just wondered what system you have to get round this problem

You can't put it down storm water drains in the street but whats the problem with putting it down a foul water drain so long as your not causing problems with the fat? I' put it down the customers drain and tell them its extra if not because of the waste carriers licience

I use non caustic,non toxic cleaners so pour them down the drain

Had not realised this was not allowed

What am i supposed to do with?

Carry on til they pull you - will they chase you when every day big firms do far worse

Trouble is a one man band is an easier target than a big firm-but like you say until i get a tap on the shoulder

Be interesting to know what the big franchises like cookaburra and ovennu advise their franchisees on this matter.They surely would have researched this.

Where would i find the 'official line' on this?

It would'nt be feasible for me to take my water home with me

Pour it down drains which go directly to the sewers IE drains beneath kitchen waste pipes which carry washing up liquid etc or washing machine waste. I used to work in the water industry and if you get caught putting chemicals into storm drains its a big fine, your not even supposed to wash your car anywhere where the waste runs down the road.

It must've been pretty filthy after 2 weeks
