Picked up a Suzuki generator for £30 today from a customer (plasterer) wanting a bit of cash, Bargain! Im gonna get a power washer, and pitch conservatory cleaning to my custies and earn myself more money ;D
We spend so much time and hard work getting customers in the first place and then waste so much money and opportunities in not getting extra earnings from them.
Diversify and quantify=£££££££ :)

well said,

thats where the real business is, too many people think that we have to , canvass , canvass, and keep gaining new customers... ONLY....

but there is so much more hidden business to be tapped into..... with existing customers.

i sneaked in a price rise without them knowing...... i left every garage owner a note, saying from now on, i will also be cleaning the garage door for an extra £##.....
as we have found the pure water brings excellent results.
if you wish to opt out of this , please let me know when you post your next cheque....

because we all know that people are too busy or simply cant be bothered to respond... ( leaflets an example).......

I TOLD them what i was doing... and give them the option to cancell.... rather than ask.... and get no responce.

it worked.... no one cancelled, now i clean all garage doors.... it takes one minute.

and i have increased my takings.

 ;)

Brilliant Gazza!
I also do a bit of roofing and let the customer know that their ridge tiles need re-pointing, tiles, slates need repositioning, replacing.
Ofcourse this is true advice and my customers trust me and i always do the job cheaper for them.
Average price for re-pointing ridge tiles? £200
Lots of custies=lots of money.
If you dont fancy going on roofs, get a local roofer to do the job and take £20 of him for your troubles.
same goes for any other service you sort out for them wether it may be decorating, plumbing, gardening etc, get my drift?

yes , thats a cracking way of earning more money without having to chase the work blindly ,  so to speak...... if you know a decorator, a plumber ... like you said... arrange a percentage with them..... as we have the customer base. top position. ;)
