Does anyone use the procurve system? If so, what do you think of it?

Yeah i have it, quite nifty actually for doing the whole pane of glass in one go, how ever ive not used it enough to get the hang of using the pole like using a normal hand squeegee method.

But those guys on the vids are obviously talented!

I only use it for my shop front jobs, on monday mornings, so i dont get much time to practise with it.

BTW, if you get the procurve pole, dont forget to order the Procurve Kit! It doesnt come as a complete package.

I use the procurve pole a lot, it's a very useful piece of kit...however....

I understand there is a 'mark II' one out now, but in general I imagine it is like the old one.
The method used to 'clip' the squeegee and washer on wears out quickly and it's well easy for either squeegee or washer to fly off!
I now just wedge on my old washer handle and the unger...er...swivel thingy squeegee handle (forgotten the correct name for it  :-[)
When squeegeeing you can use it very much like the wag tail, and the bend in the end of the pole makes it very versatile (and it is the bend that allows you to use it like a wag tail).
Adding the Unger adjustable Squeegee handle simply adds further versatility to the pole.
But the pole is expensive for what it is and pretty plasticky and tacky I think, plus - at least on the original pole - when you extend it, the method used to grip it isn't very good. The extended part twists easily, and that's annoying.

But I will be getting another one soon, for all it's little shortfalls I think it's a great pole.
Though as most of my work is WFP, I don't use it on upstairs windows, only on shop fronts that I can't use WFP or the inside of other shop fronts and so on.

Ian,I`ve converted mine long ago into a WFP.With
A small bore like Jeff Brimbles raindrip hose running
Up the inside.( Very rare does it snag like most hose
Material does I find).Very lightweight sturdy pole.Like
You say,it`s the locking cone and clamp assemblies
That are the main drawback with them. Not easily
Replaced like the Unger Tele-Plus or Opti-Loc.I think
It was Daniel Worgan that sent some `pics`down on
How to do it with a Vikan brush attached.Excellent
Combination, better still possibly with a Bentley for
Lightness.
Using it `trad`I coud`nt `fan`or really do anything other
Than straight pulls, not like the Ẁagtail`different thing
Altogether.With practise perhaps could have,but did`nt
Have enough work to warrant it.
