Had a similar problem with a Rhino. Adjust the inlet waste pipe inside the tank, mine had moved/slipped/knocked, ended up sideways and should have been pointed down, the suction caused the ball to move up and block as in your case.
Otherwise try squeezing the ball cage, oooh ere!
Then the ball doesn't rise to the top completely blocking it.

... and then watch the water flying out the back of the machine when it gets too full!!! You might as well just take it off.
Seriously, careful if you're going to do that

Sounds like your ball is hanging too close to your hole
Can you make it hang any lower? This won't affect the shut off as the water will still lift it up to shut off!

You may have a blockage in your hose pipe, try it without the hose attached.
Are you getting lots of foam in the tank? sometimes this will cause it to shut down, if so use a de-foamer.

I had a similar problem some years ago with a Century machine.
The ping-pong ball was contained within a mesh filter cylinder. Removed the cylinder and thoroughly cleaned and everything was OK.
Safe and happy cleaning
