I have just noticed that there are 3 Skypoles for sale on eBay.

Alex, that's the poles I was looking at out Heathfield Ind Est from Varitech. They told me they won't be selling them even though they had a couple in stock. I asked why and they replied because they didn't think the pole was very safe for some reason and refused to sell me one. They do look well constructed but if Varitech refuse to sell them then obviously they have a very good reason and it wasn't to do with the price.

We had a 25ft version sent to us and we also decided not to stock them. I was just interested to see them being sold, as I had not heard anything about them for so long and hadn't heard of anyone I know using one. Are there any Forum members who have bought and used them?

OOOPS
sorry NJ just clicked onto the link. They are completely different. I can't believe the weight. After an hour of them you'd look like Arnold Shwarznaegger.( Excuse my spelling).

Pole sounds very well made.
Nice concept aluminium alloy wrapped with carbon fibre giving extra strength.
I would have liked to have seen them.

Personally i dont thinks its heavy in fact its very light if you compare it to the days not that long ago when to be a window cleaner you carried and using trade ladders all day!

The one good thing about the Skypole is it's low weight, 5.2kg is fairly good for a 60ft pole. Having used and tested one of them (25ft) I was impressed with it's low weight as it was as light per foot as the the Hybrid and a little lighter than the CF Facelift pole. The other feature that I liked was the small diameter of the pole sections.

we bought a trailer system from them and the steelwork holding up
the RO fell apart  :(

also there aftersales service was crap, they didnt seem to like answering
the telephones, but i suppose after spending 4 grand with them it doesnt entitle
you to much  >:(

I think anyone buying one should seriously examine one before they buy.

I have seen photos of one and you wouldnt believe the bend on it even at 25 ft, having a 30lb carp on the end springs to mind, any higher than 30 ft god knows what it would be like

The diameter of the pole is at the expense of the closed length, the 25 ft from my understanding is 7'6" , that is to long for a 60 ft pole never mind a 25 ft
Would i buy one ? not a chance

If you look closely at the pics of the 64ft pole for sale on ebay you will notice the pole sections don't run parallel to each other which indicates they are bent out of shape as a result of the pole bending like a banana.
I have a trained eye for true horizontal perfection after doing site welding for several years and I can't help but notice if something is not straight or at 90degrees.

If you ask me there in trouble selling a poles Ebay after 2 months of them coming out, they thought they`d fly out of the factory but just the weight and closed length it was obvious they wouldn`t sell.
