I went there last oct to look at the Recoil with a view to buying and they were extremly helpfull.

I did,nt buy a recoil even though from reading the US boards it is clear it has a very high reputation and best of all JB thinks highly enough of them to spend his own money on them, which is a great recomendation.  The reason I did,nt buy Ed was quite simply because of the noise it makes. It is just much to loud o.k maybe in your big US houses but in our smaller english homes it is deafening.

Is there anything you are proposingto do about this in the future or are you just going to say thata the price of high power.

In conclusion Ed I would just like to say that I have read many of your post in the last few years on the US boards and I have been struck not only by your great knowledge of the  carpet cleaning industry but also by the politeness and good humour of all your posts.

Many sincere Thanks for your comments.

Yes, we have done some re-designing/improvements  on our 2005 model RECOIL-3HP systems in the major effort to accomidate our good friends on the other side of the pond. We quickly recognized and responded to your particular situation and needs and therefore, made the necessary changes.

However, I must say, these improvements only helped to make the RECOIL-3HP System that much better. AND alot, lot quieter too!! Along with this newer design we will be offering a special Silencer Pak that will calm the noise levels way down below what is now being offered within our market.

But, in the end, we have only yourself, and many others including John Bolton, The McKane Family (both have gone way above the call of duty, BTW), Nigel W., and many, many others who believe highly in this System and our cause to bring innovation, change, and improve this great Industry of ours.

I should also add that last oct when I was looking Nigel woodhead was also kind enough to e-mail me and offered to answer any questions I might have. By that time the noise had allready put me off.

I meant to e-mail him and thank him for the offer but somehow never quite got  round to it you know how it is sometimes.

When will the new spec be ready for purchase in the UK

michael, I have a recoil since October, in most instances I can leave it at the door or else outside a window and bring the hoses and leads either in through the door or window. When I do have to take it inside it never really bothers the customer. It sounds not much louder than most twin vac machines anyway. But the most important difference is in the results and performance. Would I use a quieter machine and and not get the results that I can achieve with the Recoil?. No way, a little bit of noise is well worth it for the Recoils superior performance, beleive me.

With the big pump in the recoil what is the water consumption like compared to your previous machine. Does it use twice as much, half as much or whatever. Also Fintan what was your previous machine presure flow rate ect.  Don't mean to be nosey just trying to work out how many extra buckets a day would be involved on average.
