Cleaning yesterday and the pump stopped. I thought it may have been the battery but it wasn't.
The back of the van had a burning smell and the pump was very hot to touch. I can't see any scorch marks.

It is a 100psi flojet and it's been a trooper since march 2006. I don't have a bypass or control valves. But i disconnected the pole for a few minutes about 1/2 hour previous to stop the flow while chatting. I don't have an inline fuse so that hasn't blown. 

I don't know what other info to give.
I've got a freedom trolley to plug into van mount in the meantime but i prefer working from the flojet on its own. Cos i can control the flow with a valve before the pump and sometimes i like to blast out more than my varistream will allow on the trolley.

Has the pressure switch burnt out maybe?
I would like to get this sorted if possible. Otherwise it's a new flojet.
Any ideas, please. I'm a bit of a technophobe, but not that stupid that i can't follow instructions.

A quick way to test whether it's the pressure switch blown is to undo the square cover where the two orange wires go in, remove one of the spade connectors and touch the wire onto the other wire/spade connector.  This effectively takes the pressure switch out of the system.  If the pump starts to run, you know it's the pressure switch burnt out.  If the pump still refuses to run, then it's the pump burnt out.
