It's hard to say but i would guess very few for just a month.
The adverts i have placed in the past needed to be there for a few months before i started getting more regular enquiries.
The quality of work i got from my advert was poor as well.

I did that many years ago and didn't get any calls at all.

I have advertised in parish mags for a couple of years each month and got a lot of good customers from that.

I only used to pick up between 6 - 10 customers a month from the parish mag but i would also get gutter and conservatory jobs from the same add.
It used to cost me £30 a month but thats nothing for the jobs i got each month from it.

Newspapers, no dont do it.

Parish mag its depends. Its the older generation that are likely to read them.

Best form of advertising is really the flyer and follow up the flyer with a door knock.

Just had my first ad in local weekly paper, had 4 replies and 2 definate customers from it. Kept it really simple. Got a lot more replies from flyers over a week, but its still another way of getting yourself out there. Just make it stand out.

My local charged me £179 + vat for a 3 x 5cm coloured slot 1 week.  got 6 customers from it all over the place, thought well i'd do them and pick up neighbours as well as prob no local w/c.
Most had binned there old cleaners but the neighbours had kept them.  NEVER using that paper again.
dont look who's to blame, look how to fix it. anon
