In this climate you have to expect it or just dont get them washed/cleaned.

I dont bother with the customers that say its due to rain, or its going to rain come back in a few days.. i just leave it till next month when im around again in the street. Or if im full that day with confirmed cleans i just dont bother going back and they can call me when they want them done.

It's a tough choice:
clean in the rain and earn a living    or
stay home, keep your customer happy and don't earn a penny.
Do you want to run the risk of losing customers because you're so far behind with work or run the risk of losing them cleaning in rain.
I worked in drizzle come light rain this afternoon and took a new clean from a trad cleaner who hasn't been in months. If he doesn't show by next visit I'll be getting the street full and families relatives as well by recommendation, fingers crossed

I've found this in the past as well. They will complain if you come in the rain, and complain if you dont show because its raining. You cant win, so I go out in it. I dont like working in the rain, but I cant have it sunny all the time so...It really is a choice between earning a living and not, and I know I can get good results regardless. So my policy which I make clear to my customers when I take them on is we will work in pour weather, and if you are unhappy with the results we will come back and do them again free of charge, no hassel. We will however cancel in pour weather if it is a mater of safety, for instance if we are snowed under.

Yeh, but it isn't is it. I can see no difference unless it is really blowing a gale and lashing against the brickwork.
