Got a job this week where 2 of the carpets (both plain cream coloured wool content) have a lot of foundation makeup stains from when her young daughter got hold of it, what method / products would you recommend ?

Thanks

Paul,
I would use citrus gel in this situation apply, blot, then rinse with cold water.

Foundation can be hard to fully remove because of its colour. Most make up is Castor oil so therefore removed with degreasers or solvents and alcohols but the strong colours can be hard to remove like false tan, keywords are DO NOT OVER PROMISE.

White Spirit also Spray and Go (which is a bleach) are 2 to have on the van.

The best by far is Solutions chewing gum remover, excellent for removing make up.

Foundation is fairly easy to remove with all the above, liguid foundation is a bugger to remove, there is a majort difference to removing the powdered stuff and dried liquid type.

Anyone got a good method for the liquid stuff. I use ecospotter refcently but it was not easy, and on my daughter fleece, so nail brush at hand

POG is a Prochem product

Prochem Paint, Oil & Grease Remover - B173
Prochem’s Paint, Oil & Grease Remover is an advanced technology non-volatile dry solvent spotter that rinses with water. Removes tough oil-based spots like grease, oil, tar, dried oil-based paint, lipstick and nail polish, some inks and adhesives.

I have had success with Prochem Citrus Gel
