im curious,facelift 65 foot pole.8 foot sections. Now, im over 6 foot tall but how do you erect this pole without the use of ladders?these people always tell you that they have years of "experience" if they truly did ,surely 8 foot sections would be the last things that they would design!

That pole is heavy,if i was you i would look at the SL2 modular pole.

dont worry, i wouldnt touch a telescopic over 20 foot.I already own a modular(all be it another make)I was just curious looking at other makes for an 18 footer for every day use when i came acroos the facelift 65.

you use something simalar to a kirb to erect once all sections are fully extanded.
this is quite difficult especially on your own!

for anyone that isn't sure on this, you walk the pole to upright from lying on the ground (like you would walk a tall ladder) by wedging it into a curb or building upright.

well we tried that ... and it was a nightmare...if there had not been a scaffold platform for one of us to jump on.... god knows how we would have got that up in the air.... as even wedged into a wall... you soon run out of height walking it up.... and the brush ends up on the floor behind you.... unless you are 16 ft tall i would opt for something else.

How you getting on with the 18 ft search? I really like the length and price of the glass Xtel 17 ft but its too whippy. So I would be interested in you findings. The Brodex 18 ft is long when closed too. The Xtel 17 ft has a lovely short closed section too. Same length and rigid? its a puzzler unless you splash out on the SLX of course

i love the x-tel 21ft... its bendy enough to drop over an awkward con roof,,, and once youi get used to the "whip"... its a doddle for upstairs windows, as you simply flick it round the frames..... its so easy,.. then drop it for downstairs windows...will be getting another soon, maybe 27-28 ft

                 So what happens if your not in enough space to fit in 65 foot of pole?plus, are you really expected to lift from horizontal 65 foot of unwieldy tree trunk?
