Hi
I did the course at alltec same tutor as NCCA and same material, the only difference was the demo/practicals were done using Alltec products. The NCCA will be less product bias so it  should be just as good if not better.

Also if you have any jobs such as rugs or upholstery with stains in it take them along with you and you can sort it out there with the class. I found that part very beneficial as lots of technicians brought jobs in they were having difficulty with and because the course is hands on we were on hands and knees on some of the rugs. Some of the truck mount guys pull the wands out and showed of there pulling power, this did remove some stains but some need bleaching to fade. All in all it was a good day and I left feeling I had real value.

go you love it. apart from the training the networking is worth the money on its own. my advise is look to take two or three things home and use them in your work. as you will not remember everything. and have to reread a lot from the manual.

Using training to earn you extra money is also the way to look at these courses. providing a new service for your customers. plus it will lift your own standards up and this is also good.

good luck

Don't forget to take your spotting kits with you so you become familiar using your own equipment.

Derek

I Will be attending. I went to the last one and think its a good idea to go again as what i learned i have used and would like to go over it all again and pick up on things that i might have missed first time around.

Plus, This time i want to focus on products. I give you an example the people i get my prochem spotters from don't always have them in stock when i need them. so it will be nice to see how other people's products work on the stains.

One that i use is Red rx but it can be expemsive as you have to use a lot to get say a full glass of wine stain out. now i was checking for what alltec have regarding red stains or wine stain removal. and they have a few on offer. to test they will mean spending out about £50 which is risky if they are not as good as the one you know and trust.

The point I am trying to make is that how great would it be if we on here did tests like "which" do on products and gave results on them. I know not every environment is the same, carpet type, mix, and use, but it would be a good guide for us when looking for back up to our normal products.

The last thing you need is being on a job and running out of your normal spotter and having to use your back up that may be you have never used before. we need confidence in the products that we use.

All products work but some better than others. BTW I don't only use Prochem products

Having been on one NCCA course I now realise that spotting is such an important part of our work as far as customers go that i think its worth investing as much time and money as needed to be as good at it as we can.

Look forwards to networking with you all

Respect

look forward to seeing all you guys there.
reason i'm going is wool carpets.
poly props are not a problem, don't think ive left a stain in one yet, full heat with 600 psi and bang, the dirt is gone, (where have i heard that before)but wool is a right numpty. had a few now where ive left alot of stains, had a go at one with my hydramaster kit and it didn't budge. either it was irremovable or i'm not doing it right, hence the course. also had a guiness stain that wouldn't shift. makes ya want to just clean poly props. but i suppose thats a kop out. anyway, hopefully this course will give me the ammo to be more confident and also charge a bit more knowing i will get a result even if the trucky don't get it out.
see ya all there guys. maccies half 8, be there.

Hi Guys

Definitely worth doing as you will learn something.

One of these fine days I plan to do a stain removal course, explaining the chemistry behind the stain removal and what we are trying to achieve.

Without getting too technical I think it is possible to have a more scientific approach and build knowledge so that we come to understand which route to take.

Cheers

got a call today saying the venue has changed due to not many going, shame about the venue change as the coffee and grub there is spot on, but the less there is going the better for the ones that are.
is it just me or does paul pierce look a little bit like christopher biggins?
