Hi, got two systems fitted by Pure Freedom, when I was up there they had racks of fittings so they should be able to help you. I would suggest you fit a valve after the tank so if you have to isolate the pump you can without draining the water away.

I could not find them at b&q

Alex that posted sells them, hes quick on delivery aswell and does not con you on postage, I use him myself and never had a problem to date

I new it when i bought the tank i asked about this ,,,,no it's standard they said even on the Island you could get one. I have never seen one before over here.
so best have a look at alex site.how much for ship to the isle of wight if your read this as only get email latter asking for more shipment charge by most companies.

I was going to order one of those fittings of Alex today but had a idea...would it work if i went and put a brass fitting in there like plumbers use and a stop valve so that i can stop the water then out a copper pipe and just heat up the hose put it over the copper pipe with a clip holding the hose in place...

That should work.  What I would recommend if using a brass fitting into the tank brass housing is to use plenty of PTFE tape.

I would use stainless not brass, if it is di'ed water, you will go green and taint water

For compactness I always fit a nylon elbow first and then a short length of 1/2" hose and then you can fit an in-line valve to do the job, as below:



What I personally use however is a nylon elbow, short length of hose and then an in-line Pro-Fitting end stop,  which allows quick release and shut-off of the tank from the pump system. I then carry a spare pump complete with Pro-tail, so if I have any pump problems I can unplug the pump and replace with the spare one. I use a 1/2 Pro-tail and end stop as below:

hi alex its for my reserve tank, i use a sub pump to transfer water but its for pressure washing jobs.

I'm not sure Alex why you have a pump set up like that I mean my pump has a hose conector on it so if the pump needed to be changed turn of valve pull hose conector of the pump and change pump.
is your way a better way of setting the pump up after all mine's been like this four about three half yrs now.
