60psi Flojet and 100psi surflow
«

There were two of us today both with van systems any way i have 60psi flojet pumps the other chap has 100psi sureflow.
We both had 100mtrs of mini bore and put them both on full flow and put them side by side to compare the flow.
They are virtually the same you couldn't tell the differance between them.
I thought the 100psi sureflow would blast it out more than the 60psi flojet but i didn't.

It's got nothing to do with psi, it's ltrs/per min that determines the flow

Hi Paul, I used to have a 60psi flojet like yours, but when it died after 3 years hard service I got myself a 100psi shurflo. In my opinion the flojet is a far easier to use and superior pump! I've had all kinds of bother with the shurflo, the flojet was completely hassle free, and the next time I need a new pump I will definately be choosing another flojet!!!!

We use both. Flojets taken from Omnitrolleys when we upgraded and Shurflos fitted from new.
Fingers crossed, we haven't had any probs with either type and they seem as good as each other.

You would only notice the difference if you had both pumps fitted to 100M hoses and then 60ft poles at full height. The 100psi pump would give a better flow then.
You would also notice the difference if you were using 1 pump to supply 2 hoses.
The PSI is only the power the pump has to "lift" the water to any height.

Well done Mr H .....
We use 160 psi pumps......would look the same against a 60 psi but you would only use 1 hose rell we can use 3 ..from one pump with no loss of pressure.
