Has anyone ever taken a Chance and bought a Van On Ebay

Or any vehicle for that matter.

I Bought a fiat doblo 2 years old 1.2 petrol with a full gas conversion immaculate condition the guy was emmigrating and wanted a quick sale instead of bidding i sent him an email and asked him if i could come and take a look he said yes i offered him £2500 cash and waved it in his face he took it. i took it to fiat this week and got it serviced they had one on the forecourt the same for £4995.00 +VAT

A right result

But make sure you give it a good test drive and if you are unsure take someone with you

I saw my van (citroen Relay) on ebay and contacted the seller (who turned out to be a dealer) and went to view it and bought it direct rather than through ebay. I would never buy any sort of vehical through ebay without seeing it first, there are too many crooks on there.

Ian over the past 4 years i have bought lots off ebay a car 3 bikes laptop 2 comptors and loads of other stuff.
I have also sold lots too.

Never had a problem. As long as you check their feed back ratings and phone them up get a landline number and address you should be ok.
I usually find by talking to them on the phone tells you if there genuine or not.
If you can you should always go to see what your buying if its an expensive piece if kit, other wise if distance is a factor you take a chance.

Dont forget on ebay there are usually loads of pics so you can see what your buying,if you get down there after the sale and find that the vehicle is not how its been described then you dont have to buy you can refuse.

Always go and view before buying a mate of mine bought a capri : off ebay over £2000 when he got there one side was caved in but that side of the car was not shown in any of the pictures.It was not in the description just sold as seen he lost his £200 deposit and a wasted journey to Blackpool.

There looks like lots of good Buys and I do not want to become a Bad Ebayer but when you are talking £5000 you would have to if it turned out not as you expected.
