Some one please help...

I replaced all two of my filters and refilled resin time and time again I made sure they are tight and positioned right way. But I get TDS Reading of 12 IN and 12 OUT The lowest. So in and out the same readings. I have changed the sediment filter with other unopened one to see if reading will change but it remained the same. Also resin I refilled after a short time but stil dident help. Membraines I replaced about 6 wks agoo. How is it posible in and out readins are the same, Than I tought my TDS meter was not working properly and tried friens TDS Meter and also testing the water with his tds meter I had high reading. I am totally confused. Cleaned all the pipes that are attached to my 6 stage 300 galons a day filtering system, Also cleaned inside where filters and membrains goes in to, but still nothing.

Only thing I can think of filters are not good quality, (RO MAN - Make)

Are you saying the reading into the DI and out of it is 12?

If it is the 10 inch DI vessel with the refillable cartridge you could well have an airlock which is preventing the water from going through the the resin in the cartridge. These used to be see through vessels so you should be able to see if it is filling with water or not. If not shake it about with water going through it until all the air has gone and you should be OK.

I had this trouble some time ago.
A good sugestion was to shake the resin up a bit. It did work. Also to run the system on back flush for a while and then run throught the di ves to see if this helps.

Thanks lads, I did notice the air in the cartridge as I can see trough (its clear type). I'l give it a goo.

Great! I took out the air where the filter cartridges are but TDS Reading is gone up to 40 from arround 20.
funny thing is in reading is lower than out reading or same,
i dont know how others filtering systems work my filters are lined as : Resin than the rough filter then 3 membrains then finally 5 micron sediment filter than into pure water thank, is it posible I got it mixed up the way filters are lined up.

it should be sediment filter to carbon filter to membranes then lastly resin to tank.

Thank every one..I have found where I was going wrong. It was new resin I started using, as soon as I changed to a different kind of resin TDS reading dropped to zero. And I still have 25Liters of that no good stuff I bought of other window cleaner.
Sorted now.

mate you have your systems running the wrong way around

resin is always last.

Thanks Allan I have got the filters lined up right since I have looked up on others over the Internet but the resin type I have changed to made the real differents.
