Pricing for cleaning Fascias
« on: September 26, 2008, 10:57:26 am »
What I did on my own property off a ladder was use a cloth and soapy water and another cloth to dry. Used cream cleaner on a few stubborn marks.

I have been asked to price for cleaning the Fascias, Soffits and Gutters on the front and rear of a detached house, about 18 meters in total.

What would you charge?

It isn't a service I would offer however, on a rough guess I might say £40 if you are doing them by hand(1.5 hours at a guess), however waterfed pole or pressure washer and you could probably do it in half the time.

approx £2-3 for gutter and fascia per metre (depends on how dirty). Ive done it by hand and by wfp - both have their advantages and disadvantages.

so approx £35-50.

We did a job on Friday for our friend, cleaning the front of gutter and the soffits, 3 sides WFP for £25. Much cheaper than we usually charge, would have been closer to £50.
While there the neighbour asked us to do hers, and as they knew what we had charged we did theirs at same price, which led to 2 other jobs further up the road for £20 each!
So.... 2 hrs work...£90 .... very good money. Point is we would not have got the other jobs as our price would have been to high, they all told us this.
Lesson for us was, even at the lower price this was easy money  ;D
Swindon, Wiltshire.
