If you use your car to carry your ladders on what type of insurance do you get and is it much more than standard private use motor insurance?

And have you all read the small print about the limitations of the cover?

Business use , including social domestic and pleasure. Mine didn't cost much more than the normal private cover, with only me as a driver and 15yrs NCD

if you are using your car for business then you need business insurance, it really does make much difference if any and most will still use your no claims to convert. have a crash and just use a standard policy then you are up the creak with no paddle as they say.

When I used a car I told them what I needed to be covered for, trad cleaners is very straight forward, wfp is another story and I estimate at least half on here that use wfp do not have the correct insurance should they have an accident(maybe more) I contacted a well talked about company that others say use on here only for them to say that I would not be covered  because I asked the correct questions ::)
You cannot get a policy online at the moment that covers this (and trust me I have looked and spoken to loads) as it is a modification and needs an underwriter to give the ok, as you are holding a weater container. I did not have this a year ago. :(

I am in my forties now and never have made a claim but I never get more than 9 years NCD.

I have been getting fully comprehensive for the last few years on my car but have not used it for business before.

I just expected the price to shoot up.
