Real Estate marketing
« on: September 09, 2008, 02:38:42 am »
Just a thought, has anyone tried this,i mean sending letters to houses  for sale, that are in the paper.
The adresses are there,so you could tell them if they have there home cleaned by your Co.then they will get thier bedrooms cleaned for free in thier new home, for a limited time only.Whats your thoughts o wise ones.

Similar thought a couple of weeks ago on here and it was well received.

Only I think the idea was as you are driving, push a leaflet thro the door.
Perhaps a leaflet designed specifically aimed at houses for sale.

ts got to help to sell houses in the current market, and i like the idea of bedroom carpets cleaned free in the "new" home - surely they will want other carpets cleaned - clever.

With respect, why waste your time on an area that's dead in the water? why not offer maintenance plans to pubs. much more interest here. carpet cleans for pubs has always been a high price ticket for them. spread the cost and give some value, like highlight cleans and you will be offering something of value.

Ian,firstly what do you mean dead in the water? ???
Pubs over here seem to never get there carpets cleaned, too stingy, they just keep putting you off.

where i live pubs are struggling big style to make ends meet, they have no money for carpet cleaning, i used to look after half a dozen pubs in my area and did for years, now 3 of them are boarded up. I think people looking to sell an house will have there carpets cleaned if they think that it will give them an edge of selling it over other houses in the street. Its our job to market it correctly, offer something like Joe mentioned.
IMO pubs and clubs are doomed!!!!!!

i'm cleaning a flat thats going up for sale, she said it won't put the price up on the flat but it'll give it a good feel when prospects walk in. it was a wool carpet and a bit trashed so i asked if i could go overboard with the chemicals to get a good results, explained the consequences and she said fine, its not like she'll see it again.
anyone see any problems with that.

Not at all Derek i always use what i need to use to get the desiered results, most of the time the customer is happy that they get the carpet clean rather than replacement. Just curious what did you use Derek?

not done it yet, sept 21st
might try multi pro and if that dont work i'll go for power burst or blitz then neutralize it with clearwater rinse.

I know that Powerburst doesnt carry the woolsafe logo but the instructions do state if using on wool rinse with acidic rinse.
Powerburst is brilliant in areas of heavy grease build up, but in an area of high soiling i would use multi-pro.
How do you rate Clearwater rinse Derek? I am thinking of giving it a try, what is the dilution rate per litre used in solution tank as a rinse, what is the cost for 5 litres?

Although Clearwater is in ounces and gallons, I have converted it and it works out at 25ml per 20ltrs.

As for what is it like, it's hard to tell. As its essentially not a detergent and an acidic rinse, I guees you wont really be able to tell ???  The plus side apart from it being safe is that it is FAR better than F&F rinse in terms of dilution :D

p.s. my name's not Derek

i like clearwater rinse alot, been using fib fab but changed to clearwater and it cleans alot better, and its very cost effective
i mix 1 pint with 5 gallons of water in my truckmount pre mix,
for portable units you mix 1 ounce to 5 gallons of water,
i think its £18 for a gallon from hydramaster plus 10% off and free delivery  if your order is over £150.
hope this helps.

offering a free clean on some carpets in new home is a good idea but be careful to put in something regarding distance else you could end up with someone moving miles away from where you work  :o

I would not worry about that, the way houses are selling at the moment by the time they move they will have forgotten about the offer anyway.
