One reason I dont/wont do cars is that very point Jackie.
I have the machine to do the job but not the tools.
There must be something thats long and slim to get in the gap but never seen anything.

I saw a crevice tool for cars at Solutions a few years back, wonder if they still do them. It was very expensive though.

There's a fair few suppliers who do a crevice extraction tool, they either have internal or external jets.

www.images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=crevice+internal+jet&btnG=Search+Images

I've improvised in the past by having my upholstery tool connected to the solution line and spraying with that whilst having a vacuum cleaner's crevice tool wedged in my vac hose cuff and extracting like that.

Last time I did my own car I took the seats out, much simpler :)

Suppose on more modern cars now taking the seats out might not be practical/possible and might even have safety/warranty implications, due to sensors and airbags etc

With all the electronics of a modern car, do you want to be spraying water near them? if not your car. just a thought.

Take any old length of steel tube from a vacuum cleaner. Find a peice of wood about 1/4 inch thick and wide enough to fit in the end of the tube. Place wood in tube and flatten it with a hammer. Extract wood and you have a perfectly shaped tool for tight crevices. Can be cut at an angle if required.

LIKE TO SEE YOU UNBOLT THE SEATS ON A RENULT SPORT THEY UNBOLT FROM UNDER THE CAR WITH ABOUT 3 INCHES OF CLEARANCE AND ALSO YOU SHOULD DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE EXPLOSIVE CHARGE ON THE SEAT BELT WHICH ON SOME CARS CAN SET THE AIR BAGS OFF COSTING THOUSANDS AND DANGER TO ANYBODY IN THE CAR .
