Good on you. You'll never become wealthy being a wc, just make a living that stops when you do. The guys who make money window cleaning, are few and far between, and never clean a window themselves. If your out on the tools you've automatically put a ceiling on your earnings whether you like it or not.
Rubbish saying you will never become wealthy or earn a very very good living over and above a so called professional persons salary, comments like that make me smile in the fact that people like you havn`t got a clue what your on about.

Didn't think so, nor ever will be with your mind set (5000+ posts on a forum!) that time should be better spent on your business. ::) I have a very big clue what i'm on about.

Why do all these posts turn out to be nasty slanging matches ?  ???
I am getting too old to be around people who  don't understand the concept of  loyalty and honesty.

How can anyone comment on what others earn when they never get to see that persons bank account, you can only base it on your own earnings, I know i can earn a good wage, ive only got 2 full weeks a month of work so still building to fill the other 2 weeks and i earn more in them 2 weeks then i did as a kitchen manager, mobile phones salesman and a carer for adults,

Depends on your definition of wealthy really. If it is to compete with Manchester City in the transfer market then no, we will never be that rich.

One option with Window Cleaning is you aim to employ with a view to being office bound eventually running the whole thing without ever cleaning a window. That has its pitfalls and requires many more skills than running a one man band.

Staying on the tools isn't bad either, you should be capable (after a few years) of earning over and above what you need to survive. For example if you have a surplus £800 a month, you could invest in property (not right now I know, but usually property goes up in the medium to long term), rent it out and use the rental income and your surplus income to pay off the mortgage quickly and start agin, property no 2 using rents from Property 1 and 2 and your surplus income and on and on.

If the guys heart is not in it , then its time to move on...

no matter what line of work you are in, if you are unhappy, its time for a change... sometimes ,  even regardless of earnings... as your health and happiness are more important.

i dont agree that because you are out , working "on the tools"... you will never be wealthy.... you have to put the groundwork in, the graft... the long hours.. sometimes for a while you even absent mindedly put your family on hold.

That can apply to any business starting up... the hard graft and leg work needs to be done... before any rewards are achieved......

so working in the field, learning , learning  building , building .... is important in any start up business, then you  can or may reap the rewards.

Clean windows for £500 a day :)

Who makes that kinda money a day by themselves?

Just a tongue in cheek comment pal, people on here sometimes quote daft figures, but however in response to the guy who reckons you have put a ceiling on your earnings bla bla - £200 + is easily realistic, what other unskilled/semi skilled job is that possible in???

I think he was trying to wind people up, or hes jealous because hes sick of stacking shelves
