I am getting too old to be around people who  don't understand the concept of  loyalty and honesty.

Funny you should say that........ i have a Gardiners scoop too but i can't get it under the tiles on a couple of houses i've sneakily experimented on. However this contraption does fit those houses. It's not the most robust tool in the world but for just under six quid it's got to be worth playing about with. (and it looks better than your fish slice  ;) )

I have to say i feel i have the most technilogically advanced set up on this forum, a system most  wndow cleaners would give their right arm for.
