I've been thinking of getting a job to do on the computer for rainy days.
It seems like you know what your doing when it comes to designing websites(edit) so...
How long does it take to get into web design? and how hard is it?

I think you should have a look at basics of programing in HTML see if you think you can learn that and have a look at dreamweaver program, in my mind one of the better programs.

I agree with this. To get a layout isn't rocket science and you will soon pick it up with practice.
