I worked around the weather yesturday and had a really good day, but today the rain was constant at times, so my Missis made me do DIY jobs round the house, and since tomorrow is meant to be a 'write off' weather-wise, it looks like I've another day of sand-papering skirting-boards and stuff.

However, it's periods like this which make you put your prices up and take on new work at far better prices than your old work.

I agree though when the weather has been against you thats when you quote the best paying jobs.

This sounds like one of my jokes!  I've always said that I wanted to be bald, toothless, and gay; so I wouldn't have to bother with barbers, dentists, or women!

But I'm sure gay blokes do DIY (no innuendo intended); or maybe your insinuating that they enjoy it (no innuendo intended)!

Personally, I'd rather be out cleaning windows than sandpapering skirting boards and stuff though.

I found wfp today quite all right with the Rain, it was lashing it down now and then, I wouldn't call it torrential. I totally wasn't dressed for it, I had a jumper that did get soaked, but my polo under their wasn't, but it was okay anyway, the hose looking like a pig in the mud, and then me having to wrestle said pig covered in mud wasn't that nice, but oh well. Was good money, was commercial stuff today. I'm glad.
