Beer Towels For `Detailing`
« on: September 02, 2008, 12:42:16 pm »
Just wondered if anyone uses beer towels to `detail`and wipe in
General etc.Over the years I`ve used just about everything exept
These.I saw it somewhere on another forum, but can`t bring it to
Mind.I`ve done a `google`and some( I like black with motif etc.)
But not `blazing`out at ya.It might not look too professional.Anyone
Any idea where to go and get em`and how much are they?
I did think about going into a pub and asking or `tapping`the landlord
Up for info`.That’s assuming they work, there`s no obvious reason why
They should`nt.
Thanks for replies.

We use them for mopping up sills and cleaning frames, gutters and fascias.

I buy them by the 100 from a lady on ebay for around £65 per 100 including shipping.

The best place to get sill cloths from is soap national, there yellow and about a £1 each. They are the perfect size for sills and you can ring them out dry nearly with 1 good squeeze.

I used to use 2 types of microfibre, a flat weave for glass and a cheaper bobbly weave for frames and glass, the bobbly ones should be used damp as it allows them to grip dirt better...but not soaking. The flat from soap national and the bobbly cheap ones from Home and Bargain, Luke

I use beermats for reeling my hose in to prevent me getting cuts from any grit on the hose, especially if it's wet. I now wear gloves all the time now as well. My sceptic thumb is slowly clearing up now. What a pain in the *** that was. :(

I think microfibre are best for detailng

i used to use terry toweling nappies years ago, they were very good for detailing and wiping the sills

never really liked beer towels dont think they are big enough although there should be plenty for sale as pubs are always closing down
