Single/Dual trim

Hi all...

This may sound like an obvious question, but where brushes are concerned, whats the difference between single and dual trim?

Thanks :D

Ooo, thanks for the quick reply :D

So a single has more bristles? Would a dual be jetted... or would it need to be modified? Thinking in particular of Gardiners new brush.

A single doesnt have more bristles, its just with a dual the ones in the centre are still there, theyre just cut shorter, so when you push the brush on the glass its easier to get the ones on the outside to splay and you retain the scrubbing properties of the bristles in the middle of the brush.

Gardiners new brush comes with jets Y connectors dual and single do, I dont think they sell without, there jets are smaller than normal ones I have, I have the new single trim brush.

single as matt said does not have more bristles than a dual but the single has not been cut away in the centre

Jets are too small on Gardiners Super lite brushes for my preference. Slows the water flow down too much. Will be interesting in winter if it freezes and Alex's fan club are all using Super lite brushes with tiny jets ;D

I would use the vikan, till you are confident with the brush, first impressions and all that, I did a very big job with the same brush, only one window left a drag mark which I have never had before, luck I was able to see the windows before I left
